Cracking Urpeth Breakfast Wins Taste Award

Low Urpeth Farm Bed and Breakfast has captured the Bronze medal in the prestigious Taste of the North East Awards for creating an inspirational breakfast which is the pride of the region.

The award recognises the awe-inspiring ‘Cracking Urpeth Breakfast’ which showcases the best local produce from the region and is still lovingly prepared and served by the farmer and his wife, Peter and Hilary Johnson.

Low Urpeth Farm strives to deliver a unique countryside experience making visitors part of the rich heritage of a farm which has been in the family for over 190 years, while promoting the region through the dramatic and inspiring rural landscape, its sustainable local produce people and customs.

Low Urpeth Farm’s policy is to source local farm-assured, seasonal, organic and/or fair-trade produce for the benefit of our guests.  This is done to support the local businesses and bring added value to their experience. This includes meats, eggs, vegetables, bread, jams and fruits from a variety of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and County Durham farms, butchers and garden centres.
